According to a July 9 report by the Ministry of Data and Statistics 국가데이터처, more long-term visitors - defined as visitors who stay in the country for 90 days or more - came to South Korea from Vietnam 베트남 in 2025 than from any other country. Approximately 98k Vietnamese made long-term visits to South Korea last year, followed by 94k Chinese and 23k American long-term visitors.
This is the first time since the Ministry began collecting data in 2000 that a country other than China topped the number of long-term visitors to South Korea. The total number of long-term visitors was approximately 685k, a 5.8% decrease year-over-year.
