A study by Dong-A University Hospital 동아대학병원 found that the disabled persons in the Busan 부산 area had a significantly lower life satisfaction during the pandemic: 31 out of 100, compared to 44.4 out of 100 among the non-disabled.

Social distancing measures significantly impacted the livelihood of the disabled population, as outdoor activities became more difficult. Hospital visits also became more difficult because of the fear of cross-infection.

Among the disabled who received home care, 11.7% said home care was interrupted during the pandemic.
