As the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung 이재명 민주당 대선후보 continues to show a solid lead, the People Power Party 국민의힘 has called for a unity ticket between Kim Mun-su 김문수 and New Reform Party candidate Lee Jun-seok 이준석 개혁신당 대선후보. But polls show that a unity ticket would not translate to significantly increased support.

A RealMeter 리얼미터 poll showed that Lee Jae-myung would handily defeat Kim in a head-to-head matchup, 51.1% to 43.9%. The result is unchanged with a Lee Jun-seok unity ticket, with Lee Jae-myung leading 48.9% to 37.0%. In a poll by Dong-A Ilbo 동아일보 and Research & Research, Lee Jae-myung led Kim 50.0% to 41.6%, and Lee Jun-seok 49.3% to 34.9%, in hypothetical head-to-head matchups. In a poll by JoongAng Ilbo 중앙일보 and Gallup Korea, Lee Jae-myung led Kim 52% to 42%, and Lee Jun-seok 51% to 40% head-to-head.

A KBS News and Hankook Research 한국리서치 poll showed the smallest gap, with Lee Jae-myung beating Kim 44% to 41%, and Lee Jun-seok 43% to 34% in hypothetical head-to-head competitions.
