In a joint survey by Embrain Public, K Stat Research, Korea Research and Hankook Research conducted from October 8 to 10, the majority of respondents (54%) said that “two countries with free travel” - akin to the arrangement between Ireland and Northern Ireland - is the preferred form of reunification.

Only 18% responded that they preferred “a single unified country”; 16% of the respondents outright rejected the idea of reunification.
