Korea Advanced Institute of Technology (KAIST) 한국과학기술원 announced it developed the Mobile Clinic Module, a movable clinic complete with an intensive care unit, four negative pressure chambers, and offices for medical staff. The entire module may be produced in two weeks, and deployed for use within 15 minutes. When not in use, it may be reduced to 30% of the normal size, allowing it to be transported via airplanes and moved to areas with an acute need.

Negative pressure chambers are essential for treating airborne infectious diseases, as they keep the air potentially tainted by the patient inside their room and prevent cross-contamination at the clinic.
