An analysis by So.Prize 쏘프라이즈 reviewed the campaign promises issued in the past three presidential elections, and categorized the promises by region and type.
For regions closer to Seoul, such as Incheon 인천 and Gyeonggi-do Province 경기도, “transportation” was the most popular type of a campaign promise, pledging to connect the region to the metropolis.
For outlying regions such as Busan 부산 or Gwangju 광주, “industry” was the most popular theme, promising to build a regional industrial base that may provide employment.
