Gyeonggi-do Province-based Krafton, Inc. submitted paperwork to the Financial Services Commission 금융위원회 for an initial public offering, issuing approximately 10m shares for between KRW 458k and 557k per share, likely raising around KRW 5t (USD 4b).

Krafton is the publisher of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), a first-person shooter that is one of the most successful games in the world;  the mobile version has been downloaded more than a billion times since its launch in 2018. With the expected company valuation of approximately KRW 28t (USD 24.7b), the IPO may make Krafton the most valuable South Korean videogame company, overtaking the “3N” giants of the industry - NCSoft, Nexon and Netmarble.
